About Kasa-Lord

Kasa-Lord develops instrumental music to help people to unwind with music that is created on the basis of both modern neuroscience and the ancient golden ratio, (old quota for beauty, balance and harmony).

4 important factors you are affected by:

1. Tempo of the music

2. Music timbre

3. Music energy

4. Your personal preferences

Currently there are many international studies showing that appropriate music has great relaxing effects. However, the successful research has not reached outside the academic world to any great extent.

In practice, with good knowledge of music theory and composing, science can be converted to musical compositions with these unwinding effects.

Tempo, timbre and energy plays a crucial role. Another crucial factor is that you like the music you listen to.

The researchers say something like this about the influence of music, our music taste and how we develop it; We tend to like music that creates a balance between what we recognize and what is new, the balance between the simple and the complex, and generally the similar to what we enjoyed in the past - but not too similar - simply because it activate greater parts of the brain.

We need music that recognize the quiet within us.

Recovery is an increasingly important part of our modern life.

If there is one parameter that we experience is common to all of us who use music for recovery, it is the harmony and balance as the "golden ratio" create. Here, our cooperation with the Swedish pioneer Lars-Eric Unesthal comes into the picture.

PH.D. Lars-Eric Unestahl has for decades researched and developed policies and programs for personal development and self-training in areas such as relaxation, motivation, stress management, and quality of life. The research led to the collaboration with Kasa-Lord and our specially written music that has been developed since the beginning of the millennium.

"The golden ratio is found everywhere in nature, in the human body and in art and architecture. In all these areas the golden ratio stands for harmony, balance and beauty. Human bodily functions and processes can also be described in the "golden ratio terms" when we are in balance and harmony within ourselves, "according to Lars-Eric Unestahl. (See also under "Unestahl about GS").

Neuroscience studies about what creates relaxing music, is well complemented by the beautiful design with harmony and balance, which are found in the golden ratio.

Or to make a travesty remix of the amazing poet Tomas Transtromer:

Two eras approach each other. The ancient with the golden section and the contemporary with the latest neuroscience research. Where they meet, Kasa-Lord-music arises.

When the evening is yours - what music

do you listen to?

For nearly 2500 years, the golden ratio and its magical quota puzzled intellectuals worldwide. And the history of art is full of ideas about what can be objective values and what is subjective judgments about our perception of beauty.

It is worth mentioning that three neuroscientists did a study in 2007 by taking pictures of Renaissance sculptures of golden section proportions. Subjects were then shown the original images with the Golden Section proportions and additionally images in which the proportion were manipulated (removed) in imaging softwares. It was in this research concluded that there is a relatively objective basis for what we humans consider beautiful.

Kasa-Lords´ market leading instrumental music for recovery, helps you to find the calm within.

Where the golden section and the contemporary neuroscience meet, there arises the Kasa-Lord-music.

The new knowledge

We see our task to inform about the new knowledge of neuroscience almost as important as delivering the specially composed music for the strategic use.

A Swedish brain researcher expressed in a book that many principles and beliefs in our society are based on opinions that are not anchored in any science. Its just opinions without factual basis.

The researcher says that we make very many mistakes because we believe that things behaves in a certain way rather than to find out how things really are.

There are many ideas about the music within the health and lifestyle field. Even here, many of these ideas are just opinions and not grounded in science.

So far the knowledge unfortunately received very little spread among the general public and among those who professionally use the music in their business, (as both the music providers and music users.)

The song in your head becomes the song in your body.

Our job is to ensure that the right music is used for the right purpose. Relaxing, winding down and recovery that we usually associate with a spa for example, is of course counteracted by using arousing music.

We have never come across any conscious spa guest that is not expected relaxing music at their spa visit.

Through knowledge, conversation and information we create solutions that ultimately benefits everyone, not least the spa guest's health and wellbeing.

We also offer workshops / lectures "Happy with appropriate music, says the research".

In a concrete research example where test subjects themselves got to choose favorite music - partly an energizing piece of music and also a calming - it turned out that the energizing music gave the effects one expected, while the calming did not yielded equally unambiguous results. Most of the test subjects had even a slight increase in heart rate. Those who for example chose love ballads, often had a higher pulse. Do modern human beings know better what stimulates than that calms? We live today in a society with a very high tempo where winding down rarely is a priority and we certainly therefore have a poorer sense of what really makes us biologically relaxing. It is needed guidance.

Again, the new knowledge needs to be spread.

Tip!

You can listen to different music and easily measure changes in heart rate / blood pressure using a heart rate monitor / blood pressure monitor, available at most pharmacies, or just by using a wristwatch and finger-on-your-wrist method for measuring the pulse. Some songs will raise the measurement results and other music will lower them.

Kasa-Lord wants to:

- make the new knowledge available outside the academic world.

- be part of building a healthier world.

Music may also make us realize how similar we humans are, which creates tolerance and understanding of each other's differences, whether in terms of gender, religion, ethnicity or disability.
